|[HA for DROKU] Fashionable Asian Men|
appreciate a guy who knows what to wear, and who isn’t afraid to
express his own personality and style. There are plenty of guys who
dress to impress, but we decided to focus on a handful who have caught
our attention recently with their fashion sense and confidence. We know
there are so many more out there, but we want to hear from you: who do
you think has truly great style?
#5 - Coming in at number 5 is Seoul, South Korean-born, Canadian-raised lyricist, J.Reyez (whose real name is Justin). According to his website, he has “emerged as one of Canada’s most multi-dimensional hip hop prospects versed in the new school DIY “Do It Yourself” era of writing, producing, recording, mixing/engineering, graphic design and directing/editing his own music videos.” And though his style seems to change from photo to photo, his outfits are always smartly coordinated. We’re big fans of J.Reyez’s classic, clean white button-up shirt with striped black and white tie, and the addition of a black jacket and black cap gives him the more casual, hip hop edge appropriate for a rapper. Whether he dresses up or down, J.Reyez always makes sure to showcase his fresh style (see for yourself HERE).
#4 - In forth place is violinist Jason Yang. Whether he’s supporting a fellow artist’s concert or on stage wowing the crowd with his own performance, Yang displays a unique style that makes him stand out in a crowd. Yang is the winner of Kollaboration’s 2010 Verizon Audience Choice Award, and the electric violin sensation is known for his “quirky sense of style,” complete with colorfully mismatched shoes, artistically- coordinated outfits, and bold red streaks in his hair. It’s not hard to see why we chose Yang as #4 amongst most stylish male Asians. His fans love him as much for his phenomenal skill with the electric and acoustic violin as they do for his style.
#3 - James Kyson Lee comes in a cool third place; Lee is known for his role in the NBC television drama “Heroes,” and was featured in the highly-talked-about 2009 movie “White On Rice.” Whenever we’re fortunate enough to catch Lee out and about, we’re always impressed with his presence and style, whether he’s on stage or watching from the audience. The actor knows how to pick the right attire every occasion, donning a suit with ease or playing up his laid back charm in casual jeans and a button-up. And we can’t tell you how much we enjoy seeing him in a leather jacket. Of course, Lee looks good in whatever he wears, in person or on screen.
#2 - Asian American band Seriously earn their second place position because all four band members manage to show off their own unique personalities. We don’t know how, but every time we see them, they become more and more handsome. Hailing from Diamond Bar, California, the musical foursome show up to concerts, events and interviews looking like real rockstars. Of course, they can pull off jeans and a t-shirt as well as the next guys. We love that each member of this talented quartet has his own look, and they aren’t afraid to mix things up and try new styles (hairstyles, at least). Vocalist Chris keeps things simple in jeans, black shirt and a brown leather jacket. Seriously’s bassist Nathan sports his own cool leather jacket in black over a grey stripped t-shirt. Drummer Philip - who recently landed a modeling gig - is a bit more daring in white shoes, burgundy pants, and black blazer. Joshua, the guitarist of the band, rounds out their overall look with plain black pants and a not-so-basic aqua, grey and black plaid shirt. No matter what era or eclectic genre they may be channeling, the Seriously boys always look great and deserve the number two spot on our list on our illustrious list of fashionable Asian males.
