| Legendary K-Rock Group Boohwal To Perform In Los Angeles | ||||

Powerhouse
is pleased to announce that Korea Herald Business and Ludy 21 will be
presenting the 2012 Boohwal Live concert on Friday, July 13th at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.
Show time is set for 8pm and the ticket sales will begin at 10am on Friday, June 1st
via ticketmaster.com and Powerhouse at 323.692.0303. Ticket prices are
$200 (VIP package), $120, $100, $80 and $50. The VIP package includes
free admittance to the after party immediately following the concert.
Formed
in 1985 by the legendary guitarist and songwriter Tae Won Kim, Boohwal
has been known as the pioneer and forerunner in Korean rock music. For
the past 27 years, Boohwal has released 12 albums and produced numerous
hit songs such as ‘Heeya’, ‘Lonely Night’, ‘Never Ending Story’ and many
others.
Boohwal
has set off careers of great artists such as Jong Seo Kim, Seung Chul
Lee and Wan Gyu Park who are presently perceived as the all-time
favorites in Korean rock history.
Boohwal,
literally meaning ‘revival’, re-flourished its career when the leader,
Tae Won Kim, began to appear on popular TV variety programs on a regular
basis in 2008. The band also brought in a new vocalist, Dong Ha Jung,
who attracted younger fans.
Together
with bassist Jae Hyuck Seo and drummer Je Min Chae, Boohwal is
currently undergoing a renaissance of popularity with continuous effort
in keeping the Korean rock heritage alive.
