BE:FIRST Makes a Stellar Tour Debut in Los Angeles

Japanese boy group BE:FIRST made a powerful landing in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, taking over The NOVO for their first tour stop in the city—and they did not disappoint. From start to finish, the show was a dynamic fusion of polished choreography, heartfelt fan service, and an exciting look at the group’s international ambitions. They aren’t new to the area as they were in LA the previous year to open for KPOP boy group Ateez at BMO Stadium.

The Tour Officially Begins

The concert kicked off with “Mainstream” and “Spacecraft”, immediately setting a high-energy tone that had the crowd buzzing. The lights pulsed and the bass dropped—BE:FIRST took the stage and showed LA they’re not just idols, but performers made for the global spotlight.

Mid-set highlights included the slick, hard-hitting “Boom Boom Back”, followed by a jaw-dropping dance break in “Milli-Billi”. This dance break showcased their synchronization and stage command. Later, “Grow Up” provided a softer, emotional contrast, highlighting their vocal range and depth.

Getting to Know BE:FIRST

The group took time between songs to introduce themselves, sharing personal moments and laughs with the audience. BE:FIRST spoke to the audience about their stay in LA. After arriving in LA a week ago, they have fully embraced the city’s vibe. BE:FIRST visited Disneyland and attended Coachella (where they saw Post Malone and were invited onto a private jet). They also caught a Dodgers game to see Shohei Ohtani. “He’s the GOAT!” one member exclaimed. They even flexed some newly learned slang—“BET”—to the crowd’s delight.

Gratitude remained a central theme throughout the night. The members frequently thanked the LA crowd, expressing their love for the city’s sports, food, and culture. “Everything we love is here,” they tell the LA audience warmly.

Back to the Music

Their musical versatility really stood out in the ballad “Softly”, where four members performed with mic stands in a stripped-down setup, followed by “SOS”. They transitioned into “Spin!”, which featured a sleek trio performance. The ambitious “Masterplan” and fan-favorite “Scream” amped things back up. They announced a short break with the soothing “Don’t Wake Me Up”, their collaboration with Jonas Blue for the Japanese version of the track.

The final stretch of the set list included anthemic tracks like “Shining One”, “Sailing”, and “Bye-Good-Bye”. The group built an emotional crescendo with the beautiful “Blissful”. After a short break, they returned for an encore with “Slogan”, leaving fans with one final moment of connection and celebration.

BE:FIRST prove with this performance that they’re more than ready to take on the world. With charisma, talent, and a growing international fanbase, this debut LA show won’t be their last.
