CNBLUE in LA

Rock, Laughs, and Love: CNBLUE Gives an Unforgettable Night in LA

From the moment the lights dimmed and the opening chords of “In My Head” rang out, CNBLUE didn’t just step onto the stage at The Novo — they owned it. As the LA stop on their Voyage into X tour on April 24th, 2025, the night was a mix of nostalgia, humor, and raw musical energy that made fans feel both seen and celebrated.

CNBLUE Are Finally Back in LA

Following the opening, “Where You Are” and “I’m Sorry” brought the crowd into a collective chant that shook the floor, proving LA Boices were more than ready. CNBLUE took a short break to introduce themselves — charming as ever, they joked about all the Korean food they’d eaten in Koreatown. “We’re going to turn up the heat now,” Yonghwa promised. And they absolutely did.

With a sultry rendition of “bad bad” and the ever-hypnotic “Tattoo,” fans were treated to Yonghwa casually unbuttoning his shirt — a move met with ecstatic screams that filled every corner of the venue. Even a quick moment when a staff member came onstage turned into comedy gold, with Yonghwa teasingly claiming he’s from LA, then OC, while Jungshin chimed in he’s from The Grove, and Minhyuk “From The Novo,” he deadpanned.

The night truly hit its stride during a fan-favorite section, starting with “Alone (외톨이야),” as voices from the crowd joined in perfect unison. “LOVE,” “Coffee Shop,” and an extended, 10-minute “Wake Up” followed, loaded with fan interactions that blurred the line between performers and audience.

Enjoying Time in LA

Minhyuk, ever the low-key scene stealer, shared that he’s been living his best fake UCLA student life — strolling campus and downing daily double-doubles, animal-style, of course. Yonghwa confessed his top LA pick: BCD Tofu House, which he hit just the night before.

As the night slowed, Yonghwa offered a tender transition: “You felt the fire, now it’s time to feel the love.” What followed was a touching run of songs — “To. My Love,” “Then, Now, Forever,” and “A Sleepless Night” — that brought a warmth that lingered long after the final note.

Jungshin, proudly wielding his 2011-era bass, introduced “Intuition” with a nostalgic nod, followed by high-octane tracks like “Racer” and “99%.” The latter turned the entire venue — even the balcony — into a seismic wave of motion. “Jump!” they shouted, and LA did.

They even made sure fans stayed hydrated, with staff and Jungshin passing out water bottles mid-set. When Yonghwa tried to signal the end with a gentle, “Sadly…” the crowd erupted with “NOOOO,” pleading for more. CNBLUE obliged.

Encore in LA

The closing stretch hit hard with “Cinderella,” “Between Us,” and “Radio.” And then came the encore.

Returning for “Can’t Stop,” they cleverly rewrote the lyrics to profess their love for LA. It was a small touch, but one that made the moment unforgettable. They thanked their tour guitarist, shared their gratitude with heartfelt sincerity, and Jungshin left us with, “We’ll remember this moment for a long, long time.”

And just when fans thought it was over, a surprise: a snippet of “Love Light,” sweet and nostalgic, followed by “Young Forever” to close out the night.

If the Voyage into X tour is about journeying through time, love, and energy, then the LA stop was the perfect port — filled with old favorites, new memories, and a band that somehow manages to feel both legendary and entirely down to earth.
