[TW-Drama Review] Devil Beside You (2005)

I became a Mike He fan after this drama. This drama seems wrong when you read the description, but you really should watch it, because its not like that at all. It’s my favorite Taiwanese drama and all the actors are really great. They all played their roles well and they are all adorable together. It’s really worth watching and i actually recommend it! If you like a funny, cute, dramatic, playful and sad drama, then this is the drama for you because it really has all of the above! You can watch this drama HERE! (includes English subs)

About The Drama:

After finally getting the courage to confess her feelings, Qi Yue (Rainie Yang) was handing her love letter to Yuan Yi (Kingone Wang), but by a stroke of bad luck, he did not see and walked passed her. The person standing in front of her was the troublemaker of the school, infamously known for his devilish ways – Jiang Meng (Mike He). The devil will get what he wants, and the object of his desire was Qi Yue. Although having a cruel exterior, Ah Meng’s heart is kind and caring, which truly touched Qi Yue. The big problem remained – Ah Meng is the son of the man Qi Yue’s mother is going to marry. Even though they were not related by blood, who will accept this step brother-sister relationship? What is to become of their relationship when other lovers come into the picture?

Characters:

• Mike He as Jiang Meng: The main Character of the drama, and also the guy who likes Qi Yue. He’s the son of the schools President, so whatever he wants, he gets. See if he gets Qi Yue by watching the drama!
• Rainie Yang as Qi Yue:  the main girl of the drama. She’s dorky, clumsy, but Jiang Meng still likes her. She has a crush on Yuan Yi, but things get in the way of their love, Watch the drama and see how their love goes!
• Kingone Wang as Sang Yuan Yi: The guy that Qi Yue has a crush on and tried to confess too, but instead she meets, Jiang Men. See what happens between him and Qi Yue.
• Tsai Pei Lin as Qing Zi: She is Qi Yue’s best friend who helps her get Sang Yuan Yi but she also has a secret of her own, which you see in the first few episodes.
•  Figaro Ceng Shao Zong as Yuan Chuan Rang: Jiang Meng’s younger brother who plays a big part of his life. You’ll need to watch this to find out why he changes the drama up!

Of course you have more actors who play a big role in the drama:

• Jiang Mengs friends who have a HUGE role in the drama and make the drama really fun to watch. Also the girl who likes him in the drama makes things complicated for everyone.
• There’s Jiang Mengs family, other then his brother, You have his dad who’s there a lot, his grandmother who plays a small role and his mom who also has a small role.
• Then for Qi Yue, there is only her mother in her family. but she has another best friend not including Qing Zi who plays a small role.
• Qi Yue’s Father’s student, who she used to really like comes in the picture and also makes it complicated.
• Then just other people in the drama who come and go.

It’s a really great drama, and i gotta confess, i’ve watched it so many times, i remember EVERYTHING that happens. I just really like it! =) Hope you all like it as much as i do!
