On August 13th, 2026, CORTIS brought their “Put Your Phone Down” tour to YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, delivering a night that felt less like a traditional concert. From running through the audience to teaching fans Korean, creating a massive sing-along, and reflecting on their personal connection to Los Angeles, the members made it clear that the city holds a special place in their story.
The show began backstage, where the members gathered for a group cheer before picking up a camera and making their way toward the stage. It was an energetic introduction that immediately established the playful, youthful atmosphere that would continue throughout the night.
CORTIS kicked things off with “YOUNGCREATORCREW,” “FaSHiON,” “REDRED,” and “ACAI.” The energy quickly escalated with an extended version of “TNT,” during which two members surprised fans by running directly into the audience. They continued the opening stretch with “Mention Me” from the movie GOAT, keeping the crowd engaged from the very beginning.
Los Angeles, Their Second Home
After the opening songs, the members took some time to talk with the audience and reflect on their year in Los Angeles. They brought up several events they had participated in around the city and asked how many fans had been there with them.
For CORTIS, Los Angeles is more than simply another stop on a tour. The members explained that much of their music and albums have been created in the city, making LA an important part of their creative journey. They even joked that they now know plenty of Korean food spots around the city.
The group then asked the venue to lower the lights. As fans raised their light sticks throughout YouTube Theater, the members took in the sight of the crowd—including those watching the concert from home and in theaters as the show was streamed live.
The mood shifted into a softer portion of the set with “JoyRide,” “Lullaby,” and “Blue Lips.” During “Blue Lips,” the members sat around on the stage, bringing themselves physically closer to fans before once again breaking out into a more energetic performance with “Wassup,” which saw them running through the audience yet again.
CORTIS Gives LA a Little Korean Lesson
The members then took the opportunity to teach the audience some Korean. While the lesson was presented playfully, they revealed that it was apparently also a teaser for future music.
CORTIS joked that because this was their first tour, they had the power—and therefore needed to “abuse the power” a little. They challenged Los Angeles to give them some of that power back through their screams.
The crowd responded during “GO!” and “What You Want.”
Before continuing, the members told everyone to chill and drink some water. As they chatted amongst themselves about what they wanted, the conversation ultimately came back to the same thing: water. They also shared that they wanted to create a choir with their fans.
They put that idea into action by dividing the audience into different sections and assigning each floor a part of “What You Want.” The result was a massive audience sing-along before CORTIS performed the song once again.
Turning Up the Energy
Following a VCR, CORTIS returned to the stage with “TNT,” “ACAI,” and “MOTION.” But for Martin, the energy still wasn’t quite high enough.
He told the audience that they needed to go “wayyy” harder, leading into “GO! (REMIX).” Once again, the members made their way through the crowd, turning the entire venue into part of the performance.
The members later sat on a couch positioned on the side of the stage while the screen instructed the audience to scream. The members then joined in, directing their screams toward YOUNGCREATORCREW before performing “YOUNGCREATORCREW” and “FaSHiON.”
Afterward, they stopped to check on everyone and asked if Los Angeles still had some power left. With only one song remaining in that portion of the set, they encouraged everyone to move their bodies, have fun, and enjoy the moment together before launching into “REDRED.”
“LA Is Our Second Home”
One of the most heartfelt moments of the evening came when the members spoke about what Los Angeles means to them.
They called LA their second home and explained that many of their songs and music videos were created in the city. It is also where they have made some of their favorite memories as a group.
With SoFi Stadium located next door to YouTube Theater, they expressed their hope that the next time they return, they will be performing there and seeing the same fans again.
The members thanked the audience for their support and talked about how much they miss being in Los Angeles whenever they leave. One member admitted that the crowd was so loud that he couldn’t even hear his own voice—and said it was completely worth it.
They also recalled how important LA was during their early days together. It was the first place where they came together to write lyrics and the first place where they worked on choreography together. They even created their Color Me album in Los Angeles.
For CORTIS, the city’s diversity is another part of what makes it special. They talked about how LA brings together people from all different backgrounds, making everything around them much more interesting.
As the members moved through the crowd earlier in the night, they had clearly been enjoying the energy just as much as the fans. They also noticed the number of younger fans in attendance and asked everyone under 20 to make some noise. The response was loud enough for him to proudly tell the crowd to give it up for the youth.
He encouraged everyone to dream big, once again looking toward the future and saying, essentially, let’s go to SoFi.
One More Round With CORTIS
The group continued with “Mention Me,” during which they brought an award onto the stage and showed it off to the audience.
They then performed “MOTION,” a song they specifically connected to the evening because of its lyrics. During the performance, the members tossed a few bags of Hot Cheetos into the crowd, adding another unexpected and playful moment to the show.
Then came one of the night’s funniest interactions.
CORTIS told the audience to sit down and be very quiet.
Instead, the crowd immediately began shouting that they loved the members.
The members sat down with them and jokingly agreed that they would be quiet too, creating a brief, intimate moment in the middle of an otherwise high-energy concert.
The group then performed “YOUNGCREATORCREW” before sharing the story behind their final song.
One member explained that they wrote the next song while driving down Malibu in a Durango. Because of that connection, the song felt especially fitting for Los Angeles, and he said it was the song he listens to whenever he visits the city.
The night came full circle with “JoyRide.”
Until CORTIS Returns to LA
As the concert came to an end, CORTIS thanked everyone for spending the evening with them and asked the crowd whether they should come back to Los Angeles.
The answer was, unsurprisingly, deafening.
For a group that considers Los Angeles its second home, the “Put Your Phone Down” stop felt particularly personal. CORTIS didn’t simply perform for LA—they brought fans into the world behind their music, from the songs created in the city to the memories they made together there.
Between the audience sing-alongs, spontaneous trips into the crowd, playful conversations, Korean lessons, and heartfelt reflections, the members repeatedly emphasized just how much Los Angeles means to them.
With dreams of one day taking their show to SoFi Stadium, CORTIS left YouTube Theater with a promise to return.
“Until we’re back again,” the members said, “this was CORTIS.”
