A2O MAY Showcase “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE” in Los Angeles

Under the neon lights of The Vermont, global pop’s newest powerhouse A2O MAY delivered a night to remember with their first-ever live showcase and EP release party in the U.S. The event — celebrating the arrival of their debut EP “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE”.

The Arrival of “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE”

The evening marked a defining moment for A2O MAY, the first girl group launched under A2O Entertainment and the creative vision of K-pop pioneer Soo Man LEE. Their new 14-track EP, “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE,” showcases the group’s bold embrace of “Zalpha Pop,” an original genre fusing the emotional intensity of Gen Z with the creative innovation of Gen Alpha.

Built on siren-like synth riffs and dubstep-inspired electro beats, the title track captures the essence of A2O MAY — fearless, futuristic, and unapologetically ambitious.

“‘PAPARAZZI ARRIVE’ isn’t just a song — it’s an announcement,” one fan said, echoing the electrifying atmosphere that filled the room. “It’s like watching the future of pop unfold in front of you.”

An Immersive Showcase Experience

Beyond the music, the event itself was a celebration of creativity and connection. Fans enjoyed an entire room of photo booths, A2O MAY-themed mocktails, and a listening booth dedicated to the new EP — turning the showcase into a full-scale interactive experience. The atmosphere buzzed with energy as attendees posed for pictures and celebrated the group’s monumental debut stateside.

When the lights dimmed and the five members — CHENYU (17), SHIJIE (18), QUCHANG (18), MICHE (20), and KAT (20) — took the stage, the cheers were deafening. Opening with their summer hit “B.B.B (Bigger Badder Better),” the group instantly set the tone with fierce charisma and flawless synchronization.

They followed up with fan-favorite “BOSS,” showcasing their sleek dance lines and magnetic stage presence before transitioning into the show-stopping “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE” — the newest anthem from their EP. With its booming bass and empowering lyrics, the performance left the audience spellbound, solidifying A2O MAY’s reputation as live performers who can both sing and slay.

From The Vermont to Universal CityWalk

Following the showcase festivities, A2O MAY was invited by LINE Friends to perform at Universal Studios CityWalk the next day. Over 500 fans gathered to see them once more. The outdoor stage became a playground of lights and energy. Both longtime supporters and curious newcomers dancing along — proof that A2O MAY’s cross-cultural appeal is quickly growing beyond borders.

Breaking Records, Making History

Since debuting in late 2024, A2O MAY has achieved what few new groups can. Their pre-debut single “Under My Skin” made them the first Chinese group to enter the U.S. Top 40 Radio Chart, holding strong for two consecutive weeks. Their official debut single “BOSS” extended their success. It climbed to #32 on the chart and marking the highest placement ever by a Chinese girl group.

The Jump Rope Dance challenge from “BOSS” has amassed over 30 million views across Weibo and YouTube. While their August release “B.B.B” topped the QQ Music Daily New Songs Chart and earned them “Rookie Group of the Year” at the 2025 Weibo Music Awards.

With momentum surging across Asia and North America, A2O MAY stands as a symbol of global unity in pop music. They effortlessly blending languages, sounds, and cultures.

Zalpha Pop: The Future Sound

A2O MAY’s music doesn’t just follow trends — it creates them. Their signature genre, Zalpha Pop, merges futuristic production with heartfelt storytelling. It’s a sound built on contrasts: digital yet emotional, powerful yet intimate.

Each member brings a distinct voice to this identity — from MICHE’s creative direction and CHENYU’s songwriting to KAT’s confident stage command, SHIJIE’s smooth vocals, and QUCHANG’s magnetic charm. Together, they form a collective vision that transcends borders and generations.

“We want our music to feel like the future — but one that still has heart,” the group shared in a pre-show statement.

The Full Bloom of A2O MAY

The meaning behind the group’s name, “MAY”, comes from the Chinese character 美 (Mei) — meaning beauty. But for A2O MAY, it represents more than aesthetics; it’s about growth, confidence, and transformation.

A2O MAY isn’t just arriving — they’re here to stay.
