A year after making her North American touring debut, Yves returned to Toronto as part of her 2026 tour THE AMERICAS. The tour made a stop at The Danforth Music hall on Tuesday, May 27, bringing the singer back to the same venue where she performed during her first North American run in 2025.
The evening began under warm, sunny skies as fans quickly filled the venue, creating an exciting atmosphere long before the show began. The crowd reflected Yves’ journey as an artist, with many attendees carrying lightsticks from her former group, LOONA, alongside other K-pop ensembles. Fans also held up small green heart-shaped pickets with the message “Toronto is LUCKYVES to have you!” bringing Yves a heartfelt welcome back to the city.
The Night Begins
Soon, the venue lights dimmed and any remaining chatter inside The Danforth was instantly replaced by deafening cheers. Fans sprang to their feet in anticipation as Yves made her entrance alongside four backup dancers, commanding the stage from the moment she appeared. She took a seat at center stage as the instrumental of “HALO” filled the room. Leaning forward onto her knees, Yves slowly surveyed the crowd, creating a moment of tension that only heightened the audience’s excitement. Yves and her dancers brought a fiery energy to the stage with choreographed moves that were both sharp and dynamic. The enthusiasm from the crowd only increased as Yves transitioned into “Hashtag.”
Between songs, Yves’s warm and approachable aura transformed the 1,000-seat venue into a much more personal hang out. She took the time to chat, asking her fans for food recommendations in Toronto who replied with enthusiasm. Yves shared that during her previous visit to Toronto, she already experienced one of Canada’s most iconic foods: poutine. Yves also asked for the crowd’s help in preparing for “Afterglow” from her 2024 debut EP “LOOP.” Diving the room into sections, she had fans practice singing the chorus while playfully judging which side did the best. Although the response was energetic, Yves jokingly teased everyone would need to do better once the song actually began.
The Night Never Ends
Yves continued the night performing her latest EP release, “NAIL” back to back with “birth,” “It,” “Break it” and “NAIL.” Following that set, Yves checked in with the crowd, asking if they had been enjoying her new music. Met with loud cheers, Yves expressed her gratitude fro the support and shared her desire to continue writing new music, promising to return even stronger in the future.
That evening in Toronto celebrated Yves’ growing solo discography, with performances of “See you in hell,” “Viola,” “DIORAMA.” The setlist struck a balance between solo moments that highlighted her stage presence and vocal delivery and high-energy numbers with intricate choreography alongside her dancers.
When Yves announced “DIM” as the final song of the night, the crowd knew the evening was not quite over. Following roaring chants for an encore, Yves returned to the stage wearing one of her tour shirts. She treated the crowd to a reprise of “NAIL” before taking a moment to introduce her dancers as “Study” played in the background. Before saying her final goodbyes, Yves expressed her genuine gratitude to everyone who came out to support her that night, closing the night on a warm and appreciative note.
